Well, there is a reason, many reasons: I had a mocha too late at night, and too much chocolate, and delicious delicious japanese food at Yamagen and my mum got married and my dress was so pretty and I got a haircut and silver nail polish and I saw working pics of Dawn Treader (WANTNOWOMG)

And I have plans in my head, gorgeous plans that get in the way of proper work I said I'd do, but I'll do that too, tomorrow when I have access to a scanner.

Also I found a pic of Jack Sparrow making out with Ariel. Weird? I think yes. But in a good way.

Today was fine. I felt my mood plummet in the afternoon. It's a most weird sensation. I was fine all morning, but then the afternoon... No no no. I went for a longer run because of it, and it made me feel better, because in the immortal words of Elle Woods: "Exercise creates endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands!"

So, so true.

I love this time of year =D it's getting hot, it's 2 months til New Year, it's getting busier... Just yay!

I've mainlined the second half of Freaks and Geeks- it's such a great show. I was watching it thinking, wow, those guys seem to have hardly aged at all since 1980 when this was filmed, it's amazing. Except John Frances Daley of course, he's gotten taaaaaall! But of course it wasn't filmed in the early 80s, it was filmed in the 90s. Genius!

OMG, www.joyofbaking.com SO MUCH NOM!!! I was looking for a pumpkin pie recipe because I love pie and I love pumpkin and it's not a food that comes automatically at the end of November like it does in USA so I don't think I've ever tried it but I do love pumpkin scones BREATHE and I found this website with SO MUCH DELICIOUSNESS I want to try it all! I want this Christmas to have delicious baking =D Cos srsly, the photos are so appetising, I just want to eat the pictures out of the screen.

Also, Merlin is love. It's so much fun ^_^ Must acquire the season 1 DVD at some stage. Maybe I can put that on my Christmas list! Damn, it's the time of year where I have to stop buying things for myself again. Never mind. I'm supposed to be saving money so I can move out in Jan anyway.

Ahaha, yes, I love festival times ^_^ I'm going to do Puss in Boots and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which I know is eeeeeasy, but as I'm going to be drawing it I can't be bothered with the imagination to change it into a new "based on" story. But still! Between this, Yuletart, and the general Xmas insanity, I'm pretty much sorted for the rest of the year. Groovy.

I've been feeling productive this evening. I sewed the hair onto the doll I'm making for Missy's Christmas present and it looks ADORABLE. I will post photos when she has a proper outfit to wear. Can't have nudey dolly pictures on my journal!

Also, got bitten by a cross-over bunny, and who am I to deny myself more practice with a tablet? I might work on it a bit more, so here it is in the mean time. Also I did this in about 40 minutes. Enjoy!

Today was a pretty good day =)

People seem to think I have a problem with buying lots of shoes. I don't, you know. I just like them, and I wish I could own lots of pairs. But I don't. I couldn't intrude on ze_pink_lady's territory, anyway.

OMG I was walking home from work and I saw a little huddle of ducklings on the grass by the river and OMG SO CUUUUUTE!! They were all bunched up in a circle and their mummy was standing guard next to them and I wanted to take a photo except NO, I left my camera at Mum's last weekend by accident, and my phone camera is shit.

I was a bit confused for a second there, but OH RIGHT. Daylight Savings begins again! This means I get an hour less sleep tonight *sob* see, if I went to sleep before 2am, this sort of thing wouldn't happen. BUT! When I wake up, there will be BRUNCH! \o/

~@ Well, it was both rainy and sunny today. Rainy while I was at work and not when I had to walk home, thank goodness. But both things were good.

~@ I'm watching Prince Caspian right now to try and distract myself from the stabbing pain in my ovary. I love this movie ^_^ I'm going to fiddle about in Photoshop with my latest batch of mermaids while I watch it. I might treat you with one tomorrow, if you're very good. Heee, I love the wardrobe symmetry at the start of the film, it's great. =D

~@ I got the Sims working again! I downloaded an update for my computer, and it had stopped working because I don't know, it's just annoying that way. But I re-installed the patch and now I have my little virtual people back again. It's good because I was starting to get tired of winning at AoE3 all the time, and I hadn't quite worked up to wanting to play Spore yet.

~@ Went and saw Up, and it was so sweet and nice. It made me go a bit teary because of my own recently departed, but yeah, it was great. Definitely up there with the best ones =) The detail in the animation just keeps getting better and better.

I've been reading Asimov short stories, and as always when I read his stuff, which I know was written around 1950s, I get vaguely irritated at the attitudes of the past that he projects on the future, because that's what he knew and grew up in. Like how futuristic computers still work with the holes punched in paper, and a supercomputer that can do just about anything is in an underground complex three miles long, and how women don't really play much of a role in any of the stories. I like his writing, but yeah, just that sense of dissatisfaction. Hmm. Oh well.

Ummmm... No, I can only think of weird shit. I better um stuff. The cat is asleep right smack in the middle of my bed, of course, because sleeping in the corner like usual is too simple. I'm making a Rainbow Brite doll and I thought she was really cute before but now she has hair it's starting to freak me out because her head is massive. I like making things! I wish I had a sewing machine. I'm getting paid to make someone a dreamcatcher, THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN. I'm poor and oh god oh god, it sucks so hard. WTF happened to my money OMG IDEK. *cries with the shame at being bad with money*

I have a new mirror though, and I got some neat nesting tables that are super useful! Now I have different sizes of table to put things on! Hooray for things being passed down! Also hooray for it being Spring at last! Tho it still isn't as warm as I want it to be and therefore dress for. I am Smrt.

There has been an "art piece" in the window of the empty shop next to my work the last two nights. It's a silhouette of a girl dancing projected onto some paper hung in the window. Interesting to look at, I suppose, even if I don't get the intent behind it. Some people walking past stopped and laughed because they thought it looked funny, because of the way she was dancing, and because the video was slightly sped up. I get that art speaks to different people on different levels, but I think laughing at it is particularly ignorant, and a very simple-minded response. Maybe it's me being a snob, but I do try and understand or interpret what I'm looking at, rather than just pointing at the funny image. Graagh. Heathens.

An electrician replaced the plug under my desk today while I was at work. Weird, people being in my room without me knowing about it... At least the guy put all my shoes back nice and straight tho, LOL!

Dear god, fandom (specifically SPN) hurts my brain. How are there so many horrible, spiteful people in the world? They think cos it's anonymous, and on the internet, they can just be internet tough guys and hurl insults and slag people off and it doesn't matter cos nobody knows who the bitches are? Anonymemes are the stupidest idea ever conceived, both "love" memes and "hate" memes, because one is useless, sickly-sweet pandering and the other is mean, spiteful and bitter. Don't feed the trolls, my lovelies: you can never win, and it's not worth it. If I wanted a slanging match I'd go back to high school. You know who your real friends are, and if they love you, without some "anonymous" internet fad telling you so.
